A Foot Health Practitioner (FHP) is a qualified professional who helps keep your feet healthy and comfortable.
We provide routine foot care and preventative treatments to stop small issues from becoming bigger problems
We don’t perform surgery or prescribe medicines — but we can spot concerns early and refer you to your GP or podiatrist if needed.
I am a qualified Foot Health Practitioner with Stonebridge Associates College - Level 4 (Insured & DBS checks).
Typical treatments include:
Your safety is my top priority. All instruments are cleaned, disinfected using an ultrasonic cleaner, sterilised in sealed pouches using a Class B autoclave — the same high-standard system used in medical and dental settings.
Each instrument is then opened fresh at your appointment.
This ensures 100% hygiene, safety, and peace of mind at every visit.
The main difference is the scope of practice:
For most people, an FHP provides all the care they need for regular foot health and comfort.
Your first appointment includes:
You’ll also receive aftercare advice and tips to keep your feet feeling their best between visits.
Yes! I offer mobile foot health appointments in and around the Exeter area, so you can enjoy professional care in the comfort of your own home — perfect for anyone with mobility issues, a busy lifestyle, or who simply prefers convenience.
There is an additional travelling charge if you are located outside of Exeter.
Most people benefit from a visit every 6–8 weeks to keep nails, skin, and feet healthy.
If you have diabetes, circulation issues, or recurring hard skin or corns, more regular visits may be helpful.
Routine foot care is generally comfortable. If we’re treating something like a verruca or corn, you may feel slight tenderness, but any discomfort is kept to a minimum — your comfort always comes first.
Appointments usually last 30–45 minutes, depending on the treatment. Specialist treatments (such as Verrutop or diabetic assessments) may take a little longer.
Just yourself! I bring all the equipment required for your treatment. For your first visit, please have a list of any current medications or health conditions ready. You’ll also complete a short consent and health form before treatment begins.
